Slovak Centre of Scientific and Technical InformationTechnology always helps plagiarists and, on the other hand, contributes to progress in plagiarism detection. The massive use of information and communication technology and Internet resulted in – among other things – faster spreading of plagiarism. Today the available advanced methods and algorithms are opportunities to improve plagiarism detection. One of the challenges is to make plagiarism detection more intelligent. We should be more demanding, we need more structured and flexible originality protocol that will provide a better gauge of the originality of the checked document.
