Issues of plagiarism, ethics and integrity: defined and explained
“… Slovak students have the highest awareness of plagiarism among all EU countries.”
This is binding and it is necessary to deepen this awareness and to ensure that other plagiarism-related terms are not terra incognita for students. A plagiarist violates the principles of academic ethics and academic integrity. The importance of these terms should be recognized by secondary school students, but it would certainly not be a mistake for elementary school pupils to become familiar with these terms. The family has an irreplaceable role in shaping attitudes towards plagiarism, ethics and integrity.
